Seguret and Pont du Gard

We drove to Seguret our next destination. We were supposed to visit Vaison la Romaine, but there was a heat wave and the temperatures were in the 40C, just impossible to visit the Roman ruins and the castle.

We spent the afternoon at our hotel pool well maintained and with warm water, surrounded by les cigales.

Our hotel also had a restaurant in the evening. There were a few tourists, but also 2 big groups from the village. Seguret is renown for its wine in Cotes du Rhone region.

Views from our room on Seguret in the evening.

The Weather was sunny and hot next morning and we drove to Pont du Gard for a picnic and a swim in the river. So much fun.

Pont du Gard:

Our picnic with tuna and ham salads and paella washed off by an excelent Cotes du Rhone wine.
